The Vanzant Family on 30A
Every year, I eagerly look forward to photographing Lana and her sweet family during their vacation on 30A. There’s something truly special about their sessions that fills me with joy and creativity, and this year was no different. Watching Truett, her charming and energetic son, grow through the years has been an incredible experience—I've been capturing his milestones since he was just a baby!
One of the things I admire most about Lana is the thoughtful detail she puts into their sessions. From their perfectly coordinated outfits to the personalized props that reflect Truett's latest interests, every element feels meaningful and unique. This attention to detail not only adds a touch of whimsy but also helps create sessions that feel authentic and fun, never stressful. In fact, every time we meet, it feels more like a fun family outing rather than a formal photo session.
For this session, Lana shared that while she wanted a few sweet family portraits, her main focus was capturing candid moments of Truett playing in the water and having fun. She especially wanted photos that celebrated the beautiful bond they share. With the sun setting over the Gulf and casting its golden glow, it was the perfect setting to capture these heartwarming moments.
Truett was in his element, running along the shore, splashing in the waves, and laughing with pure delight. Lana joined him in these playful moments, and you could feel the deep love and connection between them in every frame. Whether it was a simple hug, a shared laugh, or a candid glance, their bond shone through.

Lana’s warmth and the way she makes these sessions so personal and relaxed remind me why I love what I do.
